How Long Diazepam Is Used For Muscle Spasms?

I recently was given a cortisone injection in my costo transverse joint My pain prior to this has always been muscle spasms which I have had for years I have been taking diazepam for the last week for the muscle spasms and it has helped Today I have not taken any diazepam and still feel alright Is it likely the spasms will return or will they now stay away as the joint has been treated
