How Effective Is Next Choice ?

Hi my question is in regards to emergency contraceptives. On the beginning of January I took Plan B one step because my husband s condom broke and I m not on any kind of birth control . I got my period normally. Now it s the beginning of march and two days ago I had to take Next Choice because the condom broke once again. I m just wondering how effective Next Choice is considering i took Plan B no longer than 2 months ago? Is it as effective? I m worried, please help.

hiii mam,

Good morning.
Next Choice is very effective emergency pill if taken within 72 hrs of unprotected intercourse. The sooner you take it, the better your chances for success. The 2 tabs treatment can prevent a pregnancy. With this pill, pregnancy rate is 0-1%.

After taking the pill,a withdrawal bleeding occurs within 7 days or delayed....that is quite normal. In case of torn condom, you may take Plan B.

So don't worry about the thing happened and wait for next period (may be early/delayed) and if missed, take a home pregnancy test after 7 days.If positive, consult with your gynaecologist.

All the best. For further suggestion, you may mail me....my Id: soumenmmch@gmail.com
