How Effective Is Mirena IUD In Preventing Pregnancy?
I had a provera cure for getting my period. I got my first spotting the first day I took it but it stopped soon after... after 10 days my period came. My gyn placed a Mirena on my 7th day after the prover, I had sex 2 days after that, was I protected? I have this tingly feeling in my uterus, is it from the mirena or an early pregnancy ?

You had taken provera for your period and you also get your period on 1st day and after stoppage of it, again on 10th day.
Regarding mirena IUD, once it is inserted and placed in uterus it interfere with implantation. So chances of pregnancy is not there until it remains in uterus..
You can use the IUD until you does not want pregnancy. You can also use it for protection. So no need to take any other protection against pregnancy..
