How Does The Deletion Of Chromosome 4Q Affect A Person?

Please could you tell me how the Deletion of the chromosome 4q affects a person? my daughter has suffered with trachea osphegus fistula, duoden astresia, coarctation of the aorto and a VSD in which all have been repaired although it has been confirmed that she has a deletion of the chromosome 4q? Please help me thanks

Hi thanks for asking question in HCM.
The deletion 4q is rare chromosomal disorder in which portion of long arm of chromosome 4 is deleted that is diagnosed by PCR or FISH like genetic testing.
It is genetic disease than affect child in many way.All symptoms and disease you have mentioned is because of 4q deletion.
Citrus fruits and multivitamin tablet will be somewhat helpful to your child.Treatment done according to symptoms and surgical correction may be required.
So your child sufferin from rare genetic disease and you have to remain patience and encourage your child for development.Take care for her.
