How Do I Come Out Of Apo-cilazapril And Dynacirc Causing Uneasiness?

I am currently taking Apo-Cilazapril/Hydrochlorothiazide 5mg/12.5mg and Dynacirc 5mg once a day. I take these with breakfast about 7am New Zealand time and in about an hour I feel awful. This effect lasts about 3-4 hours then I feel more energetic and well. I would like to give these up - but the question is How?

Hi,
Please do not give up on these medications without doctor's advice. They are antihypertensive medications and stopping them abruptly can cause dangerous consequences due to rebound increase in blood pressure.
You are taking Apo-cilizapril-hydrochlorothiazide which is a combination of Cilazapril and Hydrochlorothiazide. You are also taking dynacirc (isradipine).
If you were my patient, I would think of reducing the dose or avoiding hydrochlorothiazide. For this doses of other drugs needs to be increased based on blood pressure. I would do this as hydrochlorothiazide can cause such symptoms more commonly than the other two drugs.
You can discuss the above information with your physician and ask for a change in medications or dose. Your blood pressure readings and other clinical findings are essential to say about the medications.
I hope the above information helps you. Thanks for writing into healthcaremagic. Have a wonderful day.
