How Can We Abort Pregnancy In Our Own Ways?

hi Dr. Samuel... my name is tina 23 yrs. old from the philippines, I am pregnant for two months. I told my husband that I am not ready yet...I ask him if we could abort the baby.. he told me yes... but i don't know how... i didn't even go to a Dr. or what... because abortion is only allow here in my country if you have a valid reason to abort the fetus. now my question is how can we abort the fetus in our own ways... thanks!

Dear Tina,

Please do not attempt aborting yourself at home without Gynaecologist's advice. You can always find a valid reason for demanding abortion.

WHO has recommended Mifepristone and/or Misoprostol for termination of pregnancy up to 9 weeks of gestation. However, these medicines cause developmental abnormalities in the baby. Hence, if they fail, the pregnancy should be terminated by some surgical method.

Please report to your Gynaecologist for appropriate advice and help.

I repeat, please do not undertake any abortion procedure if your own, it may cost your life.
