General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, my name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern.
No drug can stop the process of vitiligo — the loss of pigment cells
But some drugs, used alone or with light therapy, can help restore some skin tone.
Some suggestions that I can give to you are :
-Applying a corticosteroid cream to affected skin may help return color, particularly if you start using it early in the disease.
- Ointments containing tacrolimus may be effective in small areas of depigmentation, especially on the face and neck.
-Diet is very important. The ascorbic acid in citrus fruits tends to reduce melanin pigmentation. So the vitiligo patients are restricted to take the citrus fruit.
There are many other treatments but theye should be administered by a specialist .
Hope my answer was helpful, if you have any other questions I'll be glad to help, thanks!
