How Can Very Itchy Rashes On The Chest Be Treated?
Hello Doc, recently i put on some expired sunscreen on my chest without noticing and now i have this very itchy and dry rash. Its been about 3 weeks and it is still there. Iv e tried washing it every day as well as putting baby powder on it yet it still persist. Any idea what i should do or buy?
The rash you developed could be due to eczema by applying expired sunscreen. Apply Hydrocortisone 1% ointment (available over the counter) and use moisturizers (natural moisturiser like coconut oil preferred) to the affected area. Use can also take an antihistamine like cetirizine 10 mg once daily for itching.
If symptoms persist after a week, follow up with a primary care provider to re-evaluate the diagnosis.
Hope I was able to help you Please address further questions here Regards, Dr.Lekshmi
