General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I deeply understand your concern regarding the issue. Since you have pulled out the tampon, the source of infection is gone. If at all you develop fever, we need to start you on antibiotics.

* However Make sure you maintain good personal hygiene.
* Cleanse the are properly with antiseptics.
* Drink plenty of water.

Check for signs like:

1) Burning micturition
2) Fever, chills
3) Pain abdomen

If you notice any of the above you need to get thorough evaluation and then prescribed medication accordingly. Do not worry you shall be fine!

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Suhas
