How Can Testicular Torsion Be Treated?

i think i am having testicular torsion but the is only a little pain. i have taken appointment after 24hrs and will meet the doctor this evening.
1.Can this delay affect my testis?
2.what should i do so that my testis remain healthy until i meet the doctor and later on?

Thanks for contacting with your health concern

1. Since I'm unable to examine you directly, consider this is a medical urgency so an immediate visit to an emergency medicine doctor-surgeon or Urologist is warranted for surgically moving the testicle back into the scrotum.

PS. A longer wait may affect fertility [since surgical repair must be done within 6 hours of onset of symptoms]

2. As far as your question about how to remain healthy until appointment, one may contact his Primary care physician or visit an ER for manual detorsion but will still need surgery to prevent torsion from occurring again
