Dark complexioned people usually have no problem with sunlight as there skin is more tolerant for UV rays. Still few persons may have reactions which like in your case may be a polymorphic light eruption [PLE], a type of sunburn
. I advice you to use a MEDICATED sunscreen with SPF of 20-30, with protection against both UV-A & UV-B rays. Also, repeat application every 3-4 hours. Good Luck.
