Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My grandmother is 90+. She just vomited and refuses to eat or drink anything (hasn t taken anything in for almost 6 hours) because she will vomit otherwise. Her stomach/abdomen is hurting a lot. She refuses to see a doctor. How can I help her outside of making her drink/eat or sending her to the hospital? I m asking for tips like a body position that might help or maybe heating/cooling her? Heating pad on her stomach. Smells? What should I do?
hydration is to be maintained give her bland diet and antacid omiprazol and unienzyme try to keep her little active like strolling inside room give her fresh vegitable and fruits. she can take any comfortable position while sleeping. hospitalisation is requered if she does not any anything orally.
