How Can Spinal Disc Herniation Be Treated?

I was diagnosed with C3-4, there is a bulging disc. This results in a anterior impression on the cal sac. There is no canal stenosis or foraminal stenoisis. I also have many other disc issues from the C4-7 disc. What and who should I see for results?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
First medical treatment should be used for 8-10 week to control the symptoms of the herniated disc.
But if medical treatment fails then surgery is the option.

Better to get examined by the spine surgeon for proper management.
Doctor will give following conservative treatment.
Tablet ibuprufen plus tizanidine
Tablet pregabalin or duloxetin
Apply local volini gel
Proper rest and avoid movement that cause strain on the neck.
Do not keep the neck in same position for the ling time.
You can wear cervical collar.
Neck strengthening exercise according to physiotherapist.
If above medication will not help then
Epidural steroid injections will be used for short time in tapering dose.
Hope this may help you
