General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for trusting Healthcaremagic!
I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.

Snoring can arise due to many reason. A detailed evaluation is needed to find out what exactly causing this snoring.
Generally it is caused by ENT related conditions like adenoids and enalrged tonsils.
A CT scan of your PNS(para nasal sinuses) is a must to rule out conditions like adenoids and chronic sinusitis.
If your doctor make a diagnosis of adenoids or chronic tonsillitis, surgery is required to correct the defect and thus you can completely stop the snoring.

As of now you can try the following lifestyle changes to reduce the snoring.
(1)- change your sleeping position. Sleeping on your side rather than on your back might help tom reduce the snoring.
(2)- Lose weight.
(3)-Avoid alcohol, especially before going to bed.
(4)- Use frequent nasal irrigation using saline nasal drops to open up your nasal passage.
If snoring persist despite all these, consult an ENT surgeon and he will direct you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query.
Regards.
Dr.Shinas
