How Can Skin Infection Between The Fingers Be Treated?

My husband has a problem with the skin on the webbing between the middle and ring finger on his right hand. It is split and painful. He has limited use of his right hand due to the pain. He has been soaking in Epsom salt & water. The soaks seem to work somewhat, but the condition worsens when he decreases the soaks. Fungal, possibly? He had a ringworm from a kitten antifungal cream tolnaftate appears to have helped. Is there another kind of antifungal over the counter cream he can try?

Hello,
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic for your health concern

Cracking, redness in between fingers is likely tinea (fungal) infection. He can use Lotrimin antifungal ointment. Keep the area clean and dry.
