How Can Skin Burn On The Wrist Be Treated?

I have a burn just above my left wrist. I burned the skin in that spot when it hit the rim of a scalding pot. The area is an inch and a half long and 2/16 of an inch wide. When I got the burn I immediately put ice on it which made it worse. I see yellow in the wound but it is not oozing. I do not know if it is infected. It does not hurt. What do I use on this burn. I read that aloe vera is good but where can I find an aloe plant or get valoe wihout alot of chemicals in it?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello Dear. If you can find aloe vera ointment its well and good. But if you dont find, you can use silverex ointment or betadine ointment. Take antibiotics like amoxclav three times a day for 5 days. Daily apply the ointment till the wound heals.

For pain relief you can take paracetamol or ibuprofen tablets.

Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you.
All the best
With warm regards
