How Can Sinusitis Be Treated?

I m suffering from sinusitis. I have no health coverage. Stopped by an urgent care facility here in Fort Collins, CO. They told me it might cost as much as $400 to see me. Can t afford that either. I ve been treating it with Flonase, Ibuprofen, and distilled water and saline. All of that has helped, but the infection is still there. What can I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to the health care magic

According to history you are suffering from acute sinusitis

Hereby I am giving some suggestion for that

Investigation needed : CBC and PNS x ray

Take phenylephrine like decongestant drug for five days

Also start antibiotic as no improvement noted..
(cefixime 200 mg BD for five days)

For three days take fluticasone nasal spray (as you are already using it)

Put warm towel on your face

Room humidifier can be used

Drink lots of fluid

Salt water gargle done three times a day

Vitamin C lozenges chewed four times a day for three days

Recovery time : 1 week from onset of symptom

Provide me your CBC report after it has been done

Hope I have solved your query

Anyhow symptom worsen then consultation to doctor required

Take care
