Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband is 56 and has had major depression due to a workers comp problem and worry about children. He loses blocks of time usually 2-4 hours . Just can t recall anything in those time periods. I probably don t catch all of them but at least one a week sometimes two. Can stress do this or what?I need to correct email please
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Stress can not cause memory loss. So for his symptoms (memory loss), better to first consult neurologist to rule out alziemer's disease. If this is not seen then consult psychiatrist for stress and depression. He may need anxiolytic and anti depressant drugs. Don't worry, he will be alright with all these. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your husband. Thanks.
