How Can Sepsis Be Treated?

My mother is admitted in sepsis with muliorgan failure. She was started on IV antibiotics. She was being treated with Dual antibiotics Zosyn and metrozonide. Initialy with WBC coint came down from 30000 to 17,000. Today its going up. Suggested to chnge to Metropenim. What is the renal dose for it. Creat is 4.2

hi i can provide you values for dosage of meropenem based on the creatinine clearance values.creatinine clearance can be calculated using the following formula CreatClear = Sex * ((140 - Age) / (SerumCreat)) * (Weight / 72).please dont mind as you have not provided patient's details like age,weight,i have given you the above formula.based on this,the dosages are as follows
CrCl >50 mL/min: 0.5-1 g IV q8hr
CrCl 26-50 mL/min: 0.5-1 g IV q12hr
CrCl 10-25 mL/min: 0.25-0.5 g IV q12hr
CrCl <10 mL/min: 0.25-0.5 g IV q24hr.thank you.i wish your mother gets well soon.take care.bye.
