How Can Scabies Be Treated?

I have a second repeat of scabies. My first treatment prescribed by a Dermotologist consisted of permethrin 5percent cream and the tablet Invermectin 15 mg because of my low immune system. This was approximately 8/10 weeks ago. I now have the same effects and crawling feelings but the difference is that I am at the moment on PREDNISILONE 2.5mg prescribed by my Rheumatologist when the Scabies appeared to have disappeared. I was not on this steroid when first using permithrin. Can I use a second dose of permethrin to combat this present dose of the infection and will effect my taking the steroids. Thank you.

It just isn't likely that it is the same scabies infection coming back 2 months later. The eggs certainly do not take that long and having the bug in the skn would show up during the 2 month period. infecton from the origianl source is quite frequent. Redoing the treatment is the usual course of action.
