How Can Rheumatoid Arthritis Be Treated?
Have been dx with RA 6 months ago. Was placed on placquinel without success. MD changed my med to methotrexate today. He said I could just stop the plaqcqunel and start the other. Little worried about doing that. I am traveling out of the country in a week and want to wait to start a new med until I return. ?? What do u think. He did also prescribe folic acid with the methotrexate. Should I keep taking the first med till I return. He said it s not working just to stop. I am a nurse and was just curious what you think. Thx

Hi I agree with your doctor. There is no harm in starting Methotrexate and folic acid. It will work better. But if you are anxious, wait till you return back before changing--regards
