How Can Recurrent Bacterial Vaginosis Be Treated?

Hi I have BV that doesn t seem to clearing up after my robotic hysterectomy. 10 weeks out no intercourse as of now. Doc keeps giving me metro gel to insert. He says this happens sometimes but the lime green discharge....isn t normal . He cultured it this time. Two visits he done a scrapping of granular tissues. Were negative. Do I need an oral antibiotics.? Sorry for typos

Hi, I think you should take some antibiotic like a combination of cefixime and ornidazole for 10 to 14 days and antifungal drugs like fluconazole orally. Also a vaginal pessary of antibiotic and antifungal drugs like Clinton forte for 7 nights may be needed. Only metrnidazole will not help. Get blood sugar levels checked. You can also take some probiotics. Talk to your doctor regarding this. Hope it helps.
