How Can Premature Graying Of Hair Be Treated?

I am 19, Indian, I have had grey hair as long as I can remember, my mother noticed them when I was around 6-7. Since then I have been using hair camouflages like hair dyes and Henna. The hair dye usually lasts a month and after that the grey roots of my hair are easily visible. I have read a lot about premature canities, but found no solution. Here in India, absolutely everyone has dark brown or Black hair. I stand out. Please Help.

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I have read your description and understand your concern.
What problem you are facing is called 'premature greying of hairs'. It is mostly genetic in nature and is not curable with medication.
You can take supplements containing Biotin and antioxidant agents like Vitamin E and Selenium, which would help to keep your hair and skin healthy. It would not reverse the hairs back to black which has already turned grey, but could certainly help to prevent the rapid progress of greying of hairs.
The only other option is to continue to dye the grey hairs using colours which is convenient for you.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
