How Can Pregnancy Be Terminated?

Doctor, My friend is 4weeks pregnant. She is 21. She is hesitating in telling anyone and doesnt want to go to the doctor. She heard about unwanted and other home abortion pill. How safe is it . Which pill do you suggest?and how should it be taken. The proper dosage to avoid complications. Thankyou would be a great help

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Abortion through pills is possible when the pregnancy is less than 10 weeks.
However, it needs to be done strictly under medical supervision so as to avoid certain complications, which could arise out of it.
Also, after the intake of pills, a follow-up examination and investigations like ultrasound scan is necessary to make sure that all the products of conception has been expelled out completely.
Kindly consult Gynaecologist for clinical examination, institution of proper dose of medications and advise regarding follow-up.
