If no active bleeding occurs than no need for transfusion Sometime autoimmune hemolytic anemia or ITP like cases leads platelet destruction and so count not increasing Hence, PS, reticulocyte count, platelet functional analysis , bone marrow aspiration like investigation done to look for cause According to cause further specific treatment given If needed and ongoing bleeding going on than platelet transfusion like SDP can be prescribed Take care Consult physician or hematologist for examination and further work up
