You had disc bulge as per MRI, which is also cause of foot drop.
Your foot drop and numbness has decreased from below knee area to only great toe, that's a good sign that your body is responding to the treatment and recovering.
You need to be careful:
(1) As great toe is numb need to wear such footware which protects your great toe from injury and hot / cold
(2) As you underwent bariatric surgery consult your GI surgeon to check whether you are getting enough of nutrition as they must have prescribed you nutritional supplements. As if you don't get enough of nutrition may lead to neuropathy.
(3) You need to closely observe your disc bulge and see if it has reduced or increased, as that also leads to foot drop if in LS Spine area. Better consult a neurosurgeon once just to check if you need discectomy or any other surgical procedure for decompression.
