Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Size of the vaginal opening has nothing to do with painful intercourse.
It appears that you are little apprehensive of sexual intercourse after marriage by relating to things which are not so in reality.
Intercourse can be painful when there is no proper lubrication. Proper lubrication can be achieved by spending more time during foreplay and using water based lubricants, if necessary. During the first few occasions of sexual intercourse, it can be little painful and uncomfortable, mainly due to mental apprehension and anxiety. Both partners need to relax well and enjoy the activity.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
