How Can Pain In The Ears Be Treated?

Hi I was slapped hard on my ear..I heard a high pitched sound then n it was blocked.. Today morning I went to take a bath n put water in my ear.. Now it hurts even more.. It was paining before but now it hurts even more.. I don t feel dizzy nor do I have a fever or anything.. It nly hurts.. I to remove the water with towel after I realised I should have not put water.. It hurts when I have hiccups.. They say it will heal in 6 weeks but it hurts now n do I have a chance of getting an infection?

I can understand your concern.
Slapping can sometimes cause tympanic membrane rupture.
Hearing of high pitched sound followed by blocked ear is suggestive of tympanic membrane rupture more.
This is further complicated by water in the ear during bathing. This can cause infection and pain.
So better to consult ENT doctor and get done examination of tympanic membrane and inner ear.
You may need antibiotic and antifungal ear drops.
You may also need tympanoplasty if there is rupture of tympanic membrane.
