In 2009ish I broke my left femur just above the ankle. I have a rod and some screws in it due to the break. I since have sprained the ankle of the same leg at least 3 times the most recent being 1.5 months ago, I have fallen and hit my upper shin on a concrete step in early Dec 2016 which has left a bruise and hard bumps under the skin that will not go away. The summer of 2014ish I was helping move a large upright freezer which subsequently also fell on the same leg. Over the last year or so I can hear and feel clicking when I walk but am not sure if it is the ankle, the knee or both. I have sharp pain that makes my leg jump from time to time when sitting or resting and the leg constantly aches. It is always swollen and never seems to go away. Tylenol is helping but only for short periods of time. What could be the cause for all of this and is there anything stronger and longer lasting than Tylenol that is OTC. I have an appointment with the DR later this month and will be asking her about it but need something in the interim.
