How Can Pain And Stiffness In The Knees Be Treated?

Hi, I hit my left knee on a metal cart three months ago. I have had 2 sets of x-rays rays, MRI, and Nerve tests done. I am still having pain, stiffness, swelling, and problems with touch. Have also done 3 weeks of pt 3 x s a week. It only helped range of motion by 4 degrees. Is there anything I can ask my doctor or switch doctors?

dear
I understand the difficult situation you are passing through.
In most cases of such joint problem after a trauma, the pain persists for a prolonged time. Many a times we our self have to fight the condition. After all genuine investigations and diagnosis, usually for the stiffness we have to move our joint ,do a lot of exercise to bring things normal.switching doctors usually doesn't help sometimes,on the other hand it might worsen the case also.
We can continue for a physio session for some more time keeping an eye on any other symptoms like swelling, pain ,fever .
However please take good care of diet, and rest as well.
Hope this helps
most welcome for further queries
