How Can One Nurse Scabbed Nostrils And Dried Blood?

The inside of my left nostril is scabbed and covered in dry bloody boogers. Every time I blow my nose, the bloody boogers come out and the inside of my left nostril feels stiff and when I try and wiggle my nose to get rif of the feeling, it feels as if something is getting ripped from the skin. What is the cause of this, and how do I get rid of it??

Hi, you can do douching with warm saline and after douching apply Neosporin ointment over the area thrice daily. This will loosen up the scabs and slowly the area will get cleaned up. Do not forcefully remove the scabs as that leaves raw area and re scabbing occurs. You can also use liquid paraffin locally in nose and that also keeps the area moist and loosens up the scabs. Causes can be many including working in dry, dusty environment, atrophic rhinitis, post surgery etc.
