How Can One Increase The HB Level During Pregnancy?
I am 34 weeks pregnant, and my hb has dropped to as low as 7.7. Obviously am tensed...also have to undergo a Caesarian section for my delivery in the next 15-20 days. This is my second pregnancy. My first child was a healthy baby and I had an hb of around 12 during my first pregnancy. Pls advise how to increase my hb level. I had not taken iron tablets for the last f ew days because of nausea & acidity...but have one resumed it. Also started taking wheatgrass juice....really concerned..

Thanks for writing.
If your HB is so low then we have to first see whether you are losing blood in piles or bleeding gums.
If you can't tolerate oral iron t gotten injected iron can be given.
It may improve iron by 1-2 gm in 2 weeks.
If your Caesarsan section is early then you may need crossmatched blood ready.
