Its 5 months after the completion of acne treatment using oratane. My lips are still red imflamed and keep peeling every day. I have used every product. Only my bottom lip and middle tip of my top lip is affected. Currently using eucerin aquaphor. Please help.
Understanding your concern. As per your query your symptoms of lips inflammation and peeling resembles perioral dermatitis. It could be due to stress, hormonal changes, use of wrong cosmetic product. Need not to worry. To alleviate swelling and any type of inflammation you can go for steroid injections and topical medications. I would suggest you to take anti allergic like Allegra 60 mg twice daily for 3 days and Ibuprofen in case of pain. I would suggest you to consult dermatologist again for proper evaluation ,doctor may prescribe antibiotic course for 6- 12 weeks and may also prescribe medicine like isotretinoin. Maintain oral hygiene. Apply dologel on area of inflammation. Drink plenty of fluids.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
