How Can Kidney Function Be Restored?

How can kidney function be restored? What causes a (drastic) change in GFR? I am a 19 year old male and a few years ago I got my GFR measured and it was first found to be in the 50 s. After some visits when I was aorund 14-15 it was found to be 67, which is just above the 60 needed for CKD stage 2. Well now I just turned 19 and I visited another nephrologist since I moved away for college and my kidneys have shown more scarring that before but my GDF shot up to 107 which is way above the normal 90+. Why can this be possible? Even with more kidney scars my GFR shot up and I do have sporadic kidney pain and UTIs but the GFR went way up. What can cause this?

I really appreciate your concern, this could be renal pathology and some time congenital condition may be possible in such case patient has to be in regular follow up infection is the main concern and it need to be managed properly have a word with nephrologist time to time, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
