How Can Infertility Be Treated?

My fiancee have been trying to concive. We ve tried missionary, from behind, legs above shoulders, when I took a pregnancy test it came back negative. We have even tried lub (which is supposed to open my cervix) that didn t help. Is there anything we can do to get pregnant?

Hi there,

The position probably won't make too much of a difference. Things that may help is actually from your end. I'd recommend your partner not wear briefs, wear boxer shorts which help keep the testicles away from the body (the increased heat can affect the sperm count). I'd also recommend avoiding any drugs or alcohol on both your parts, and drinking plenty of fluids. Your timing may be an issue too, I'd try to maximize your sexual activity 2 weeks after her menstrual cycle. Keeping a calendar might not be a bad idea. Finally, I'd recommend she start taking a prenatal vitamin that includes folate while she's trying to conceive.

I hope this answers your questions. Please feel free to contact me should you have any further questions.
