I am a Quite Healthy woman, 87. A Dr. @ Medical college of WI put me on B.P drugs several yrs. ago.I have not felt good since.
.First was Diltiazem 180 then upped it to 240 mg.I cannot see that these drugs are helping.I try to eat very WELL. I weigh 107,am 5'1".Very active.Coffee is organic.Salt is from Himlayan Mts.Use a dab.I read every label.Buy as much Organic as I can afford.Have virtually CUT out MEAT.Find Good Chickens, Turkey, @ FreshMkt.
I have gone thru nearly unbearable STRESS. Expense due to 2 of my Children being Alcoholics. Son (retired from FF, had to serve time in prison due to #5 DWI.He was put in REBAB Center there in WI. Divorced due to this. He seems to have himself IN CONTROL. Does not drive.Has no car. His wife & 3 daughters got EVERYTHING in the Divorce. He has a good pension. My daughter did drive her car into MILW from here. Was sitting on steps of a Friends home, CAr parked in drive, When Police arrived, arrested her. Her friend was gone to VIGIL of his father who had died.Neighbors must have reported someone on the doorstep. Anyway she has not been in trouble for nearly a yr. A VERY long story. I am more relaxed, but went thru a BAD TIME with severe Intestinal Pain,Bloating, sleeplessness-----------you NAME it, after My FEMALE DR. insisted I must take CHLORHALIDONE. I could not figure out why my Gastrointestinal System went CRAZY. I did not call her, as all she EVER DID was tell me I HAD to take MORE B.P.pills. I looked up that MED on here. I had ALL THE FRIGHTENING SIDE EFFECTS & more. I am HIGHLY allergic to Most forms of PENICILLIM & Sulfa (to name a few).She knew this. I immediately STOPPED that PILL. She & her Protégé kept calling me insisting I MUST come to the office for them to take my B.P. I would not go & told them that pill should be banned, & they should be BANNED from SCRIBING it.. There is MORE, but by the GRACE of GOD, I finally have my INTESTINES working NEAR NORMAL. THE horrible PAINS are gone. This was day time, middle of night.I could barely stand up at time.
During all this, I was In EMERGENCY once, when she (My Dr. ) refused to see me ASAP. Two hernias one Umbilical, other lower left, were bulging til I scared. That nite, Dr. on duty said , Strangulation, gave other advice. YES that night my B.P. blasted up to 195. They reporting to my DR. she called back yelling at me about my B.P .I took immediate steps to ELIMINATE her from my Life. I saw a Surgeon @ West ALLIS aurora (my youngest son had very successful Hernia Surg there) I did get scheduled for HERNIA SURG, but was still having problems with regularity,so cancelled.I had been thru C Scan.All was fine there. I saw 2 different female DRs @ 2 different Aurora Sattelite offices. Both & most of the STAFF are complete IDIOTS.In fact I rec'ed a questionnaire to fill out about one of them. I walked out on them. They treated me like a SENILE FOOL, that did not know my own BODY.One insisted I HAD to begin PROSAC.I said NO WAY & FLUShots. I have never ever had a FLU SHOT,& never had FLU. I had taken Lorazapam.Dr.@ Froedtert would give me 3 B.P. Pills but NO LORAZ. No one would prescribe it. I had not taken any for several months. (was on LOW amt).But for some reason was having PANIC ATTACKS especially middle of nite. I did figure out most of that. I was taking too many SUPPLEMENTs for Anxiety. I sat up at night reading My PRESCRIPTION for Natural Healing Book. & learned a lot. Reason for me taking too much, I am being treated for MACULAR DEGENERATION in on eye. This, along with everything else was weighing heavily on my mind. I am NOW on an EVEN KEEL with the NATURAL supps for M.D. I have researched this,.talked with my EYE surgeons I KNOW B.P is important to maintain my EYE SIGHT ALSO. I began Eye Injections (Avastan) one yr. ago, being checked monthly, then 6 wks. now do not need to go back for 8 wks.I was bit scared beginning this, as I am so allergic to so much, but have never had pain,or a bit of discomfort from these 6 shots. My CENTRAL & PERIPHEAL vision are near PERFECT. My eye sight is " 20/20" in the words of my EYE DR. I use glasses for FINE print. Wear one contact right eye, but need only small correction. I take all supps & Foods rec. for Mac.D. Now I would like to eliminate B.P. meds if possible. The 240 MG DILTIAZEM I take once a day does not seem to make any difference AT ALL in my B.P. Eating right, limiting amt ORGANICWINE, & EXERCISE is what helps keep B.P. low. I began with a NEW internist @ WEST ALLIS AURORA. She was born in POLAND. A very Nice young lady. SHE LISTENS TO ME!!.She suggested MIRA LAX. For now I am not considering HERNIA SURG. The Pain is virtually GONE, but I should perhaps have a colon check. Have not had one for more than 5 yrs. My B.P. readings every time @ AURORA have been Borderline of BELOW. I do have Allergic Rhinitis,& have to work @ keeping my breathing doing well. My Dr. I had @ Froedtert seemed to KNOW NOTHING BUT scribing B.P. pills. I was thru the Heart Tests. All were fine. She would INSIST on Blood work & Urine tests every visit & in between. All this did for me was cost me OUT OF POCKET to DYNALABS, ( who is in BIG trouble for THEFT of some kind). Just writing this probably has raised my B.P. I hate to have to think about it. I have not been out BALLROOM dancing in awhile due to all this. I also had a Rotator cuff injury. She sent me to THERAPY--Froedtert,but I ordered a Heated SHOULDER wrap, & my VERY good CHIROPRATER ( who goes to Brewer's Dugout does their shoulders, backs etc.) said ULTRA SOUND is only thing to heal it. TOO expensive to go there often so ORDERED my Own Ultra sound device & their GEL. My right shoulder is now ready again for Dancing,SWING, Samba, Hustle, etc. This is a sampling of my life. I told her 1/2 mg. & I break That in Half. the 1/4 seems to be plenty, but when I can get out walking in SUN again & DANCING again, I will not need even the 1/4. The 1/4 seems to settle my INTESTINES especially for sleep. I do take Melatonin as well as extra INOSITOL. THANK GOD the Scary Panic attacks seem to be gone. Look @ me on FACEBOOK. We have half acre & Large circle drive. I have total 4 sons, daughter is by baby.They all live NEAR but have their own lives.
