Hi Doctor, I have BP level 2 and doctor advise to take concor 5mg daily for 25 days and go to diet to reduce 2 kg monthly; later we have to redo assignment. what is your advise on this case , what is the best time to take the medicine and if you have another advise, I would love to hear it from you. thank you.
hi sir/mam,what your doctor had given is the standard treatment for the newly diagnosed hypertensives.even i wouls suggest the same for my patients.regarding time, you can take the tablet at any time of the day.either in the morning or afternoon or at night.one most important thing is that you need to take everyday at the same time.if you take tablet after consuming food, side effects will be less.regarding weight reduction,i suggest my patients a balanced diet in combination with physical exercise of 45min/day for at least 5 days a week.you can go for a brisk walk or can join into some yoga class under the supervision of a good teacher.diet must be like you should not exceed 1800kcal/day.low intake of fats, moderate intake of proteins, low carbohydrates, high fibre and also include foods with micronutrients like fruits, fresh veggies and dry fruits.hope you have had a satisfactory clarification from my side.any further queries are would be attended with pleasure.take care.bye.
