Hi welcome to HCM.
High blood pressure is a common association in diabetics to intrinsic accelerated atherosclerosis operating in the blood vessels.Drugs like Ace inhibitors are the antihypertensive drugs of choice in diabetics as they are capable of reversing the left ventricular pathology on long term use. This can offer excellent blood pressure reduction.Restriction of sat intake to less than 6 gm is advisable.Maintain blood pressure to less than 130/80 mm of hg.Regular physical activity is needed.Screening 2 dimensional echo is needed to rule out organic heart disease.Consult your cardiologist for further care.
