How Can Hemorrhoids Be Treated?

I have hemorrhoids and the doctor checked me out said they were external. He prescribed cream and told me to eat well and keep it clean. He first asked if they were bleeding and at the time and they were not, that was two days ago. They are now but that was directly after a bowel movement. Should I still use the cream? Anisol is the brand name.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM

I have gone through your query. Anusol is cream based on corticosteroid hydrocortisone. This can be used for short term like 1 to 2 weeks to get relief from symptoms of hemorrhoids. Take plenty of fluids. Take fiber rich food also. Avoid sitting for long periods. Stool softeners can be taken. If still in Prolapsed state then consult your surgeon or proctologist for surgical treatment.
Thanks.
