Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 20 yr old son has had a bad headache for two days and is now vomiting and running fever. He says he hit his head on his car doorframe Thur evening and headache has been on and off after but yesterday and today has been migraine-like and now fever. He did not throw up until this morning when we moved him from his apt to our house. having difficulty drinking fluids and has barely eaten in two days.
I understand your concern, and I hope your son is in a good condition now.
Since there were a trauma or injury that happen to your son, I suspect that he may experience post traumatic headache or mild head injury. Take him to a neurologist to do the further examination, so the doctor can manage him well. The doctor may suggest to do CT scan or MRI of the head, whole blood test.
Since there's a vomiting, you should have to bring him to the hospital ASAP cause it's a sign of increasing intracranial pressure.
Regards, dr. Nurul Falah
