How Can Headache And Fatigue Due To Anemia Be Treated?

I just had blood work done, and the results show that I am slightly anemic - probably nothing to worry about except that the two health problems that plague me on a daily basis are headaches and fatigue. Should I try taking a low dose of iron to see if it helps my symptoms?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for your query,
The symptoms that you are experiencing seems to be consistent with anemia. I would recommend you to start on iron tablets once daily for a month or two.
You may experience a change in color in your stools, staining of tooth, constipation, I would suggest you to not discontinue for a month or two.
Hope this helps
Thank you
