How Can Group B Streptococcus With Painful Lumps Be Treated?

i just found out i have Group B streptococcus, i am not pregnant and all the info i am finding has to do with infants and pregnancy. how did i get this and is there a cure? i have to go to the doctors office on a regular basis to have large and very painful bumps lanced. they tend to swell to at least the size of your palm in about 3 days. please help me, faith

i appreciate your health concerns....
Group B streptococcus do normally present in vagina , intestine and rectum. In your case , it is symptomatic and it need to be treated.
As far as treatment of group B streptoccous ins concerned it need to be treated with antibiotics particularly with penicillin group. all you need is antibiotics along with painkiller to relieve your symptoms. you should visit your doctor so that you can be examined and treated properly in time.
