How Can Eyebrow Hair Loss Be Treated?

I have experience hair loss in the eye brow region. I have seen a dermatologist and the dermatologist said to try Rogain on my eye brows. I am not sure if that is the answer. There was no blood or physical examination. What can cause this and what can I do? Vitamins? Etc.?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Losing hair in the eyebrow region is common especially if you have the habit to pull them or touch the area continuously and sometimes unconsciously. Looking at the affected area is enough to determine the cause.

I advise to continue with applying Rogaine on your eyebrows first as prescribed by your doctor. Then, if no improvement, should consult again with your dermatologist for further evaluations.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini
