How Can Ectopic Pregnancy Be Prevented?

Hi, Dr I am 30 yrs old , and about 60 kg. 5 years back i had an ectopic pregnancy , i had to remove one of my tubes. I was given a med cynomicin to get pregnant again and after that i became pregnant i gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Now my husband wants another child, but i am not in a mood for another child as i dont want the same things to happen again. Hi.
Just because you had one ectopic pregnancy why are you thinking in a negative way ? After that you have one normal pregnancy. Isn't it?

With a previous history of ectopic pregnancy, you have about 60% chance of normal pregnancy in the uterus and about 10- 15% chance of ectopic pregnancy recurring. So you can definitely plan for another pregnancy.

There is no specific thing that you can do to avoid ectopic pregnancy. Please note that ectopic pregnancy is more common with assisted reproductive treatment.
One important thing you should remember is that once your pregnancy test is positive you need to consult your doctor at the earliest to make sure about the location of pregnancy.
I hope I have answered to your satisfaction.
