How Can Ear Congestion And Enlarged Lymph Nodes Be Treated?
My boyfriend has some sort of flu bug his ears and nose are completely clogged and he can barley hear or talk.. is there some kind of home remedy or something I can get him from the store ? And he noticed his clogged ears and sore throats when he noticed his lymnodes were enlarged
Understanding your concern. As per your query symptoms ear congestion and enlarged lymph nodes are probably due to swollen salivary gland and due to bacterial infection. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist and get it examined. Doctor may prescribe X-ray, CT SCAN to confirm diagnosis and start treatment accordingly. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like amoxicillin or penicillin along with anti inflammatory at least for 10 days . As of now drink plenty of water. Avoid pricking area with any sharp object. Give warm compresses to that area and you can take over the counter medicine like ibuprofen to reduce pain and swelling.
Hope your concern has been resolved. Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
