How Can Constipation In A Child Be Treated?
I have a grandson with sensory issues who holds his stool for 7-10 days at a time. He s 6, this has been going on since a toddler. He s been given numerous softness that do not work, he continues to hold it. What can they do for him. My daughter is so frustrated with it.

thanks for the query. i understand your concern.
Please make the child eat vegetables, salads, fruits . Encourage him to drink sufficient water.
Give him water soaked fig to eat ( 1 each day) Glycerin suppository for children can be tried in the beginning... if the child is co operative.& teach him to sit of toilet seat daily at fixed time.Try to entertain him while he sits there ( some stories/ rhymes singing ) . The child will cultivate toilet habit in few days ( 10-20 days )
