How Can Constipation And Anal Itching Be Treated?

I was placed on magnesium oxide 400 mg 1x daily I had acid reflux so bad several nights in a row as I have IBS and diverticulitis I take dexalant 1 x daily. Im having trouble now havingbowelmovements and I m swollen at my rectom with taw feeling and severe itching. Would the magnesium cause this?

Hello,
i can understand your concern. Magnesium and dexalant would not cause the symptoms that you have like anal itch. Most probably it is due to dry skin or a worm infestation. consult a doctor for deworming.
i would suggest not to indiscriminately use magnesium oxide and dexalant as they hinder with absorption of certain vitamins. Consult a doctor for correct treatment of peptic ulcer disease. a course of antibiotics might be required if H.Pylori infection is the cause.
