Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
Cold and cough may be signs of respiratory infection or allergy. Most respiratory infections are caused by viruses and may need only symptomatic treatment. However, bacteria infection is possible and will justify the use of antibiotics like cephalexim.Treatment duration is however variable and may extend averagely up to 7 days.
I will suggest you try the following:
-Continue with cephalexim up to day 7
-Continue with ambroxol hydrochloride to day 7
-Add a steroid like celestene drops for say 5 days
-Avoid environmental irritants like cold, dust and smoke
If symptoms persist, you see the Doctor for reevaluation.
Hope this will help
Best regards
