How Can Chronic Inflammation In The Breast Be Treated?
Last week 2/13/17 I had a Biopsy done on my left breast due to a lump I found. I told the doctor my symptoms- dull pain under my nipple, shape/size of nipple, feeling of my breast being very heavy, itchy. He diagnosed me with Focal Area of Chronic Inflammation. I ve done my research bc the breast center I went to for the biopsies, mammagram and ultrasound are now refusing to see me and answer my questions and concerns. And from all my research for the last 5 days have shown this to be a type of Breast cancer. What should I do?
Hello dear I understand your concern Lump under the breast could be due to inflammation/abscess, cyst, fibroadenoma, breast cancer. Definitive diagnosis should be done by USG guided biopsy. You can also go for blood tests for cancer marker like CA 15-3, CA 19-9, BRCA mutation gene analysis to rule out cancer Fibroadenoma and cyst should be removed surgically Infection require antibiotic course For pain you can take drugs containing diclofenac and serritopeptidase Other specific treatment depend on cause Apply warm pad application, wear full padded supported bra. Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
