Hi, thank you for posting.

In the most common cases chest pains are related to heart diseases.
But your mother need some tests in order to determine the exact diagnosis, because in some cases chest pains are caused by neck arthritis.
The diagnosis is determined by these tests:
1. Neck X-ray.
2. Pulmonary X-ray.
3. Electrocardiogram(ECG).
4. Glucose test.
5. Lipid test.
6. Complete blood count.
7. Urine test.

The results of the tests will determine the needed treatment.
Contact a neurologist and a cardiologist.

I hope this information is helpful.

Regards.
Dr. Behar.
